| | I ran 2 easy miles in the morning. For Practice it wasn't so easy. Coach promised us a Tempo run... and he delivered. It was just 3 miles, nothing that we couldn't handle. The first and last part of the run are up a big freakin hill, the best part. My first mile was a 5:20 because it was uphill but I finished the last 2 miles strong and my end time was just under 15:30. I did a mile of warm up and cool down. Immedietly as I walk into mi casa my mother is standing there... staring at me... she looks like she wanted to ask me something. In her kind, motherly, yet controling and powerful tone of voice she asks me, "Do you wanna go to da gym?" At first I was hesitant because my tooshie was hurting but then I got over my petty and minor ache and decided to go. I responded: "FETCH YEAH I WANNA GO TO DA GYM MAMA!" She then looked at me and shook her head in disappointment. While walking into the gym I was approached by an employee, he was dark, very muscular, tall, and reminded me of somebody that I once knew. This employee approaches me and said: "I've never said this to a man before, but you have very nice legs." I just aknowledged that he was correct in his observation and proceeded with my workout. I ran 6 easyish miles on the treadmill, did some weights, biked a little, and did abs. That concluded my workout. As I walked out the door of my neighborhood Planet Fitness I couldn't help but notice that someone was watching me, it was THE employee. I can't blame him.

| | I ran today. Surprised? Yeah me neither. It all started at 11:30 this morning, this is when I awoke from my slumber. I stayed up until 2 am last night watching Eddie Murphie movies. I ended the night on a high note with Daddy Day Care. A classic. I sat around for most of the day until I finally decided to get off my butt. My butt was not happy about this. I mowed the lawn, cleaned my room, sprayed off the patio, and did a lot of other kings you don't care about. Later I went to the ogden river parkway, I went tubing and got scraped up on the rocks at the bottom. It was probably because I was dragged down to the bottom of the river by a giant man eating guppy, like the ones on that show river monsters. Ha! I haven't even talked about running yet. While at the parkway I did a 2 mile tempo. I only call it a tempo because it was sub 5 minute pace, but I was really just trying to get down the river to my fam. THey left me behind to drown in the four foot deep river . I'll just skip to the running part because I know that's all you shifty savages care about. I went on a late 10 mile trail run from my house up to big rock and back. This was all around 9:45. While descending the trail I stumbled upon a young couple near the top of the trail, it seemed like I was interrupting their baby making process. I quickly ran past them in my bright reflective gear illuminating their sinful pleasures. The girl stumbled on a root and the guy went to catch her with his lips. At least that's what I think was happening. I increased the pace on the way down, two miles out from my house I was able to hold 4:55 pace which wasn't too hard because it's a slight down hill. I picked it up and my last mile was a 4:28... Downhill. But you shoulda seen me!!! I was blazing it like it was 4:20 all the way down that hill. If you had witnessed it you probably would have said something along the lines of "damn" or "nice calves" or "F you man" depending on whether you're a douche-canoe or not.

| | Did 6x800 repeats today, nothing too long because I just took the weekend off after state and wanted to get in a quality workout while still eazing into my training schedule until nationals. I ran 2:12, 2:12, 2:11, 2:10, 2:12, and 2:06 for the last one. I felt really strong the whole time, I usually do 8 @ 2:15-2:18 but I guess I was just feeling real fine today! No one else bothered to show up to practice to day besides Stathan Naker. We were up on the track all alone, he was running about 2:30's but it was still nice to have someone up there with me. Stathan Naker is a character, he just started running 2 years ago and he's pretty dang fast considering. His first ever track season he ran 4:44 in the mile and a 2:04 800, not too shabby for a white guy. We have our end of the season cross country banquet tomorrow so all the captains went to Walmart to find some coaches gifts. Nate and I had the brilliant idea of sticking a Beta fish into a blender bottle and giving it to our coach Marc, I hope He likes it!!!!!! We named the fish Franklin. McKenna and BJ were in charge of the other coaches gifts, they got them socks, waterbottles, candy and some other junk that's not as cool as a BETA FISH INSIDE A WATERBOTTLE!!! In the toy aisle of walmart we found some fleshy extention grabbers, and of course BJ immediately proceeded to grab one off the shelf and start groping my tushy with it. I wonder about that kid sometime.

| | Today was Halloween, I ate very unhealthy. I consumed multiple jelly filled donuts and candy bars... and I regret nothing, because I had a kick A$$ workout that burnt off all those calories! We did 5XMILE repeats up on the track with 3:30 for rest, my times were 4:28, I have no idea why or how I ran that fast. Second was a 4:41 because I figured I should control myself, and I figured that if I didn't hold back a little bit then I would calapse on the track and most likely get spiked by Davis. Davis wasn't even there, their team just likes to spike me for some reason. let me tell you a story about sophmore year at state, I was seeded third coming into the race with a 4:17, 2 laps in I was sitting pretty in the top pack and guess what? Logan McKay, Stockton Smith, and Josh Ward were all right with me. With 300 meters to go all three of them flew past me but I was still feeling good so I tried to get them in the kick, but they boxed me in so hard and I never really got to use my kick. I still ended up getting a PR of 4:16 but after the race I noticed both of my legs were sopping with blood and I had got spiked 8 times from the Davis guys. Anyway, my third repeat was 4:38, 4th was 4:36, 5th was 4:32. Just to clarify, 4:28, 4:41, 4:38, 4:36, 4:32. I definitely deserved those jelly filled donuts after that. I hope that my blog post has inspired you to run fast... like an angry Kenyan.
